Come, open the gift.  Experience the gift.  Treasure the gift.

St. Athanasius School exists to inspire the mind, the heart and the soul of a child.  We offer children an encounter with God that opens their eyes and warms their heart to the world’s possibilities and the role God has for them in it.

“Called to Love, Learn and Lead” summons one to a purposeful life.  Our faculty and staff are called to a life of loving educational service.  St. A parents seek a centered family life and give to others in return.  The loving embrace of St. A’s wider community, including parishioners, alumni and friends, sustains hope.

We believe in each child’s goodness and potential.  We work in tandem to nurture holistic growth from junior kindergarten through grade 8.

Become active--experience the power of this vibrant community.  Find meaning.  Treasure belonging.  Inspire learning.  And share God’s love with each other and the world.

Please call 847-864-2650  to learn more about a St. Athanasius School education.

Office Hours: 7:45pm until 3:45pm when school is in session.

St. Athanasius School is proud to offer a Junior Kindergarten (JK) for students who turn 4 by September 1st. Featuring a developmentally appropriate balance of physical, social, academic and imaginative play activities in a weekly theme-based curriculum, children are nurtured within a loving Catholic community.

Components of the program include meaningful play and transitions, multi-sensory experiences and beginning academics in the areas of literacy and math. Students have regular opportunities for gross motor activity and access to technology. A rest time is in place for full day students. Students leaving half day have the opportunity to participate in an extended “lunch bunch” for enrichment activities.

Staffed by both a full-time teacher and teacher’s aide, families have the option of choosing a combination of full and/or half days based on what works for their child. Class size is limited to twenty students, and children of all faiths are welcome. Optional before and after school care, as well as tuition assistance, is available.

Open enrollment continues with space available in various grades.  Please call Judy Berg to arrange a private tour at 847-864-2650 ext 107 or email at
