Jesus said, "Let the little children come unto me."

By instituting Catholic Schools, the Church has created a unique environment, affording the parish community the best opportunity to bring its children closer to God.

We, at St. Athanasius School are committed to continuing the work of Jesus, embracing all. We believe that we exist to pass on the Catholic tradition, to affirm life in Christian community, and to instill a goal of service to others in the children of St. Athanasius Parish as we prepare them to meet the academic challenges of the future.

Just as Jesus recognized the uniqueness of each of His followers, each child at St. Athanasius is recognized as a unique individual, one who is developing a personal relationship with God through knowledge and experience of Scripture, Gospel values, Catholic tradition, prayer and celebration of sacraments. Through the witness of the staff and the daily experiences of the curriculum, our children learn the truths of our faith, study and appreciate Scripture, experience a variety of liturgies, participate more deeply in parish life, embrace diversity, and respond to the call of service to others.

Our strong academic program also recognizes the uniqueness of each of our children, while setting high standards of excellence. We believe that children learn best in a caring environment where each child is encouraged to develop to their fullest potential, and every effort is made to accommodate individual learning styles. Our goal is to help students become self-directed, accountable and responsible. Our outstanding program of co-curriculas and extra curricular activities nurtures the development of the whole child. We want our children to be life-long learners, guided by their Faith so they become active in their local Church community as well as committed to the ideals of peace and justice in our world.

As the primary educators of their children, parents choose our school because of the partnership between parents and staff that is based on trust and mutual respect. Together we guide our children to God.
