Russell St. Germain

It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we share with you the passing of Mr. St. Germain, our former band conductor.

We had the blessing of getting to know Mr. St. Germain as he led our band, and taught music to our students, from the fall of 2017 and through the better half of 2018.

Mr. St. Germain passed away on April 30, 2019, at the age of 45.

Well-respected and adored as a teacher, Mr. St. Germain was also a gifted musician who enthusiastically shared his lifelong love of music with those around him, and especially, his students. He taught for more than 20 years; for most of these years, he solely led a small-band program, Bands on Parade, to provide Chicago-area schools with well-rounded, joyful music instruction.

We keep his spouse, his family and friends, in our prayers. On Wednesday, May 15th at 8:20am, we will dedicate mass to Mr. St. Germain. A few band students will lead this service along with Principal Carol McClay. Please join us, if you can.
