“I think there should be a rule that everyone in the world should get a standing ovation at least once in their lives.”
― R.J. Palacio, Wonder
A Unit B and class favorite is to take on the role of someone notable, past or present, and share a little bit about his or her life and times. As part of this end-of-year assignment, students spend several weeks researching the bios of their chosen person; developing a pasteboard or a collection of meaningful objects; creating a costume; and devising an oral presentation from the perspective of this special person. Over a three-day period, parents come for presentations and an audience Q&A.
Way to go fourth graders! You did an amazing job on your biography presentations!
