At St. Athanasius, we believe that every child should approach each day with a secure confidence in God’s unconditional love.
Within an environment that cultivates responsibility and kindness, we challenge students to participate in parish life and commit to the ideals of peace, justice and respect for others. The religion curriculum (K-8) emphasizes Catholic scripture; tradition; prayer; participation in weekly liturgy and sacraments; and introduces students to other cultures’ religious ceremonies and traditions.
Community is enhanced by pairing older and younger grade levels as “buddies”. Students are taught grace and tolerance and encouraged to live their values every day.

Youth Ministry
Youth Ministry enriches the lives of students with an ever-present connection to parish life (through liturgy and faith education), and to one another (through social events and acts of service). Activities include faith formation, volunteering, service opportunities, youth-led mass, and numerous social events. St. Athanasius, St. Joan of Arc and St. Nicholas Parishes, form the Evanston-Skokie United Catholic Youth Ministry. To read more, please visit the Youth Ministries website.
